Wow! This is truly a Wow cover; I love it! I liked the cover of The Last Hunt very much, but I have to say that this one is super awesome.

No one likes to pick favorites among their “children” but I have to say between the cover artist Joslyn Cain and our designer Chris Kent, we’ve come up with a doozie.

I’m pleased the cover is so eye-catching but, as you know, short story collections have a reputation for selling poorly. We’ll hope word of mouth and, yup, that knockout cover will compensate but I’m not expecting EXCEPTIONS & DECEPTIONS to show up on the best seller list any time soon.

Thanks, as always, for coming by to see me. Glad you seem to enjoy your visits…

Ladies and gentlemen, believe it or not that single ejaculatory exclamation comes courtesy one of Canada’s finest living writers.

A man of concision and tact, that’s Monsieur Redekop.

Thanks, bro. Keep that pen movin’, we’re all waiting for your next tome.

EXCEPTIONS & DECEPTIONS will be out mid-June and available from, well, all the usual suspects (Amazon, Chapters, et al). Plus your local public library, if you’re feeling particularly stingy.

Have to admit, there’s a special buzz around this one, maybe because it’s been a long time coming.

Or maybe because there are so many fucking good stories in the collection.

Either way, lately I’ve just been humming
